Jude Explosives

We are based in Lawspet, right on the ECR Road in Pondicherry. The shop is at number 6, which is basically across the road from the Jothi Mani Hotel. If you see Latha Steels, you are pretty much there already. Dealing with explosives and related materials isn't like running other kinds of businesses. It’s mostly about following the rules and keeping things safe for everyone involved. We’ve been in this specific spot for a good while now. Jude Explosives is a local operation through and through. We provide materials for construction, quarrying, or whatever else needs it in this part of the state. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s very necessary for a lot of the building work going on around Pondicherry. We keep our paperwork in order because that’s the most important part of being in this industry. The office is very plain and simple. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because that’s not why people come to see us. We talk to contractors and site managers every day, and most of them are regulars who know exactly where to find us. ECR Road can get quite loud with all the traffic heading towards the coast, but it makes it easy for the big trucks to get in and out of our yard. We’ve seen this part of Lawspet change quite a bit over the years, but we’ve stayed right here. It’s a steady pace most weeks and we take our time to do things right because you really can't afford to rush this kind of work.
