A J Event Services

A J Event Services is tucked away in Lawspet, Pondicherry. We are at No 87 in Lenin Nagar, which is quite close to the Sivaji Statue. It’s a busy little corner of town. Most of what we do involves running around Pondicherry helping people put their events together. We have a lot of gear like chairs, tables, and sound systems that we move from one place to another. Our storage space is usually a bit of a mess because something is always coming in or going out. It’s a small operation, mostly run by a few of us who grew up around here. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything fancy. It’s just a practical workspace where we answer the phone and load up the trucks. The heat in Lawspet can be something else, especially when we are setting up stages in the middle of the day. We’ve gotten used to the sweat and the long hours. Sometimes we are working on a local temple festival, and other times it’s a small house party. We just take things as they come. Being near the Sivaji Statue helps people find us easily, which is good because the streets here can be a bit confusing. We don’t really have a grand vision; we just want to make sure the chairs are there and the lights turn on when they are supposed to. It's just local business, doing our best to stay organized.
