I Decors & Events

We operate out of No 338 on Vazhudavur Road in the Shanmugapuram area of Pondicherry. It is a simple place where we keep all our event supplies. We do a lot of decorating, which means our space is usually overflowing with rolls of cloth, artificial flowers, and strings of lights. Working in Pondicherry is nice, but the humidity can make things sticky when you are trying to set up a stage outside. We are usually up very early to get to the flower markets or to start a setup before the sun gets too high. We aren't a big corporate company with fancy suits. Most of the time we are in old clothes, covered in a bit of dust or tape from putting things together. We do everything ourselves, from climbing ladders to tie up drapes to hauling heavy wooden frames into place. Sometimes a light bulb blows out at the last minute or the fabric isn't the right shade, and we just have to make it work with what we have. It’s a hands-on job and it keeps us busy throughout the year. We don't spend much time in the office; we’d rather be out at the venues getting things ready. We know the roads around Shanmugapuram well and have been part of the community here for some time now. It’s just us, a few helpers, and a lot of hard work to get things looking right. We like it that way and keep going.
