This place is out in Raghunathpur Bhelura, which is part of the Brahimpur area. We are set up at Ram Babu Yadav’s location in the village. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main city center of Patna, but the air is a lot clearer out here. The office is really just a simple building that serves the local community. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights. People around here know where we are mostly by word of mouth. The roads getting here can be a bit bumpy, especially when it rains, but we manage just fine. Inside, it’s just a few rooms with basic furniture. We spend our days dealing with local education needs and keeping records of everything on paper. It’s a quiet spot most of the time, except when the local kids are playing nearby in the afternoon. We share the space and keep things simple. There isn’t a lot of high-end technology around, just the essentials to keep things moving along. We usually sit together for lunch and talk about what needs to get done for the week. It’s a very grounded way of working. No one wears suits here. We just dress in regular clothes and get to work. The building is sturdy enough and keeps the heat out during the summer months. It feels more like a home office than a corporate branch. We like it that way because it keeps us close to the people we help every day in the village and tola.
