Nalnda School Of Physics

We are over in Kankarbagh, specifically in the Chitr Gupat Nagar area. The Nalnda School of Physics isn't really a school in the way people think of big institutions. It’s more of a place where we get together to figure out why physics is so hard for most people to understand. Patna has a lot of students, and many of them find the science subjects quite heavy. We try to break things down. I spend a lot of time drawing diagrams on the board and trying to explain how things actually move and work in the real world. It’s not just about memorizing some formulas for a test. The building we are in is simple. It stays pretty busy during the afternoons and evenings when the school day is over. Sometimes the room gets a bit warm when it’s full of students, but nobody seems to mind too much once we get into the lesson. We deal with all sorts of levels, from basics to the more advanced stuff for older students. I’ve lived in Patna for years, and I know how much pressure the kids are under to perform well. We just try to be a place where they can ask questions without feeling embarrassed about not knowing the answer. It’s a lot of hard work for them and for us, but that is just the way it is here. We don't use any flashy gadgets, just the chalk and the board and a lot of practice problems.
