We are located out at the Patna Dairy Project, specifically in the Feeder Balancing Dairy Complex in Phulwariasharif. It is a big name, Vaishali Patliputra Dugdh Utapadak S. Sangh Ltd., and honestly, it takes a while just to write it out on the forms. Most people just call us the dairy. The complex is a busy place, especially in the early mornings when the trucks are lined up and everyone is trying to get their work started before the sun gets too high. Phulwariasharif has its own rhythm, and being part of the dairy project means we are right in the thick of it. There is always the sound of machinery hum in the background and the smell of fresh milk being processed. It is not a quiet office job by any means. We spend a lot of time walking between the different buildings in the complex. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the floors are worn down from years of boots walking over them, but it is a solid place to work. We do not have any flashy displays or corporate slogans on the walls. It is just a group of people making sure the milk gets where it needs to go. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble, or the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but we just keep at it. It is practical work for practical people, and that suits us just fine.
