Chanchala Traders

Our shop, Chanchala Traders, is at Shop No. 1 in Abhishek Plaza. It’s right on Exhibition Road in Patna, which is always full of people and cars. If you’ve ever been to Patna, you know how hectic this road can get. We have a small space filled with all kinds of trade goods. There isn't much room to move around once the stock comes in. We usually have boxes piled up near the entrance. It’s a bit messy, but we have a system for finding everything. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. Customers come in and out, asking for prices or looking at samples. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just tell them what we have and what it costs. It’s a very honest way of doing business. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. We drink a lot of cold water during the summer months because it gets really hot on Exhibition Road. We’ve been in this plaza for a while and know all the neighboring shopkeepers. It’s a community of traders just trying to make a living. We don't have a website or big posters. Just the shop and the sign outside.
