Swad Vatika

We are up on the second floor of the Aditya Arcade. It’s right on Exhibition Road in Patna, near the Andhra Bank. Being on the second floor is a bit tricky because people have to walk up, but we have a sign downstairs. This place has been our life for a while now. We spend most of our time here, even when we aren't open. There is always something to fix or some grocery list to write out. Exhibition Road is always crowded, so it’s nice to be a little bit above the street level where it's a tiny bit quieter. We just serve normal food. We don't try to be something we aren't. Our cooks have been with us since we opened the doors. They know exactly how I want things done. We have some tables that wobble a little, but we put some folded paper under the legs and they work fine. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. We just rely on people telling their friends if they liked the meal. That seems to work better anyway. It’s a simple setup. We have some plants near the window, though they don't get much sun. We just want to provide a place where you can sit down for a bit and eat. Nothing fancy, just us and the kitchen. We are usually here until the arcade closes for the night.
