Sarvottam Cement Store

Our store is right there at Zero Mile in Pahari. If you are from around here, you have probably passed by it a hundred times. We sell cement and that is about it. It is a basic setup with a big storage area and a small counter where we sit. The floor is always a bit grey from the cement dust, no matter how much we sweep it. Trucks pull up right in front and we spend a good chunk of the day loading and unloading bags. It is heavy work and your back definitely feels it by the evening. We talk to a lot of local builders and guys doing work on their own houses. Sometimes we sit out front when it is quiet and just watch the traffic go by the junction. It gets really busy during the building season and we barely have time to eat lunch. We do not have a website or anything like that, people just come in or call the shop. The roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so we have to move the bags around to keep them dry. It is just a simple local business run by a few of us. We know most of the regulars by name and they know we are usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. There is always a lot of dust in the air but we do not mind much.
