Ambuja Cements Limited

This place is out in Hirmi, which is a bit of a trek from the main part of Raipur. I’m staying over at the quarters here, E 165, which is right by the cement works. It’s quiet out this way, mostly just the sound of the machinery running in the background. We’ve been set up here for a bit, handling the daily routine of the cement business. Mr. Ansari is the one you usually talk to if there’s a question about the paperwork or where things need to go. Life here revolves around the plant. You wake up, grab tea, and get to it. It’s not one of those shiny buildings you see in the city center. It’s a practical site. There is a lot of dust, which is expected, and the roads get a bit rough when the rains come through Chattisgarh. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. Most of us have been in this industry for years, so it's just second nature now. We don't have a big reception area or anything. It's more of a functional space where we manage the logistics. People stop by to drop things off or pick up orders, and we just make sure the numbers match up. It's a simple way of living and working. Not much drama, just steady days. We’ve grown used to the pace of things here in Hirmi over the years and we just keep going.
