Sarvottam Cement Stores

We are based out at Zero Mile in Pahari. Cement is a messy business, there’s no way around that. Our clothes are usually covered in that fine gray dust by noon. The store is basically a big warehouse with stacks of bags piled high. You have to be careful how you move them or they might tear. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. The drivers are always in a hurry to get back on the road. Zero Mile is a busy junction so there’s always the sound of heavy engines idling outside. When it rains, we have to move fast to make sure everything stays dry. Wet cement is useless to everyone. We don’t have a fancy office. It’s just a small wooden desk in the corner of the shed with a ledger and a pen. We do our counting there. Some days are slow and we just sit on the edge of the loading dock watching the traffic go by. Other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch. Pahari is a dusty area anyway so we fit right in. We’ve been here at this location for a good while. People know to come to Zero Mile if they need supplies for their building projects. We don't do much advertising. The word just gets around from one builder to another.
