S D L Corporation is on the ground floor in Gali No. 3 over in Salimpur Ahra. It’s a bit tucked away in the lane, so you have to look for the sign when you're walking past. We’ve been here for a good bit now. The space isn’t very huge, but it works fine for what we do every day. We handle a bit of everything, mostly supplies and small trading stuff. The lane is quite narrow, so it’s always a bit of a struggle when we have a delivery coming in. Everyone has to move their bikes and scooters out of the way to let the truck through. We’re just regular people trying to run a business without any fuss. There’s no big fancy lobby or a bunch of suits sitting around. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of cardboard boxes stacked up. We know most of the people who live and work in the Gali. It’s a tight-knit spot and we like it that way. We start the day by cleaning the front step and then checking the orders. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a minute while they're out. We don’t have a big marketing plan. We just do the work and hope people come back. It can get a bit hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't great in these old buildings, but we keep the fans going. It’s just a normal everyday job for us.
