Ruby Rahul Rice Mill Pvt. Ltd. sits right in the Gurahatta area of Patna City. We are pretty close to Print Avenue, which is a landmark most people in this part of town know. The streets around here can get quite narrow and crowded, so getting the big trucks in and out takes a bit of skill. We’ve had this place for years. It’s a bit cramped inside compared to the big mills out in the country, but we make it work. The noise of the hullers is constant from morning until evening. We have a small team, mostly local guys from the neighborhood who have been working with us since they were young. There’s a lot of history in these walls. We don't have a website or anything like that. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk through the front gate and find me or my brother. We handle the local rice variety mostly. The air in the mill always has that sweet, earthy smell of dry grain. Sometimes we have to stop and fix a broken belt, which slows things down, but that’s just how it goes with older machinery. We try to keep the place organized, though with bags piled up everywhere, it can look a bit chaotic to an outsider. It’s a honest job. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a rice mill in the heart of Patna City, doing what we’ve always done.
