Take Away Express

If you know Patna, you know how busy Kadamkuan Chauraha gets. Our place, Take Away Express, is right there in the middle of it all, near the Durga Mandir. It’s a loud area, especially during festivals, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of bells and traffic. We don't have much space for people to sit and linger, which is why we focused on the takeaway side of things. It’s about getting people their food so they can get back to their lives. The kitchen is small and gets pretty hot, especially in the summer months when Patna feels like an oven. We’ve had the same stove and the same counters for a long time. They’ve seen thousands of meals go out. We don't spend money on big ads or trying to look like those fancy chains you see in the malls. Most of our customers are locals who live just a few streets away or people passing through the Chauraha on their way home. We know a lot of them by name. Sometimes we run out of things early, or the delivery boy gets stuck in traffic near the temple, but we do our best to keep things moving. It’s just a regular life here in Kadamkuan. We wake up, open the shutters, and start cooking until the night falls and the streets finally quiet down a bit.
