Railrecipe

You can find us at the Patna One Mall, up on the 7th floor. It’s a bit of a strange place for a business that deals with train food, but it works for us. The mall downstairs is always loud and full of people, but up here it’s mostly the sound of phones ringing and keyboards clicking. We spend the whole day coordinating with kitchens and checking the live status of trains across the country. It’s a lot of stress when a train is running behind and we have to adjust everything on the fly. We have a couple of whiteboards that are always covered in scribbles and notes that only we understand. The office isn't anything special to look at. We have a few mismatched chairs and some old desks that have been through a lot. Sometimes the internet acts up and we all have to scramble to get things back online. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls. We just want to make sure that someone sitting on a train gets a decent meal without too much trouble. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to people on the phone all day. Lunch usually comes from one of the food stalls downstairs, which is a nice perk of being in the mall. We are just a group of people trying to make travel a bit better for everyone on the tracks. It is busy work.
