Mehta Food Co.

Mehta Food Co. is located at Plot No B25 in the Bihar Industrial Area Development. We’re right near the Central Jail, which is a big landmark people use to find us. We process different kinds of food products here. It’s an industrial zone, so it’s mostly warehouses and factories around us. The air usually smells like whatever we're cooking or packing that day. We have a small team of workers who come in every morning to run the machines. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of cleaning and making sure everything stays sanitary, which is the most important part of working with food. We don't really have a showroom or a place for visitors to sit and talk. It’s strictly a production facility. We sell our stuff to wholesalers and some of the bigger shops in the city. We’ve been operating out of this plot for quite a while now. The roads in the industrial area are full of potholes, so driving the trucks can be a challenge. We don't have any big slogans or fancy packaging. We just focus on making sure the food is good and safe to eat for everyone. It’s a busy life, and we’re usually pretty tired by the end of the day. But we’ve built a decent business here over the years and we're proud of that.
