Manzoor Asan Gram Sons

Manzoor Asan Gram Sons has been a part of New Market in Patna for quite some time now. We are a family-run place and we mostly focus on things like grams and pulses along with the usual general items you would expect. The shop is located in a very busy section of the market where the ground is always a bit muddy if there has been even a little bit of rain. I work here with my relatives and we spend most of our time shifting heavy bags around or measuring out products for the customers. Patna is a loud city and you can hear the shouting of the other vendors all day long from where we sit. We don't have any of those fancy barcode scanners so we just do everything by hand and memory. The counter is made of old wood that has been worn smooth by years of people leaning on it while they wait for their orders. It is a very practical place with no room for anything that isn't useful. We try to keep the prices fair because we know the people who shop here are just working hard to get by. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit mixed up but we always find what is needed eventually. It is a long day from morning until the market finally shuts down but it is the life we know and we just keep going with it.
