Harsh Narayan Rice Mill

Our mill is located over in Kankar Bagh, specifically in Chitragupt Nagar. We are part of the Sankat Mochan Market area in Tadi Bari. It’s a very busy part of town, so there’s always a lot of foot traffic and scooters zooming past. We’ve been operating the Harsh Narayan Rice Mill from this location for quite some time now. It’s a noisy, dusty place, but that’s what happens when you’re processing grain all day long. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning; we mostly just have the main mill floor and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. The market nearby is always loud, and sometimes it's hard to hear the phone ringing over the sound of the machines and the street noise. We work with a lot of local suppliers and people from the surrounding neighborhoods. We don't really bother with big advertisements or polished brochures. Most people find us because they’ve been coming here for years or they heard about us from a neighbor. The building is old and has a lot of character, even if it looks a bit worn down in places. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the bags are filled correctly. It’s a lot of long hours, especially during the peak seasons, but we are used to the rhythm of the mill. It’s just how we live our lives here in Kankar Bagh, doing what needs to be done.
