Our office is tucked away in Akshardham Society in the Ramol area of Ahmedabad. It is near the Sakriba Party Plot and just behind the C.T.M. Textile Mill. You have to follow the Jamfalwadi Canal to get here. It is a bit of a trek if you aren't used to the local roads. The building is at number 27. It’s a busy industrial and residential mix around here. We get a lot of noise from the mill and the nearby traffic but we are used to it by now. The office is simple with a few old computers and plenty of paper. We don't have a lot of extra space so things are stacked up in the corners. The floor is just plain tiles and the lighting is okay. We usually have the radio on in the background while we work on the steel records. It gets very dusty because of the canal and the road work nearby. We spend most of our time talking to drivers and checking on stock. It is a honest day's work and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is. Most of the people working here have been with us for years. We know the tea seller at the corner pretty well. It is a basic setup but it serves the purpose for what we do every day in Ahmedabad. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the routine of the steel business.
