Capital Cements

Capital Cements is right on Plot No.4 of the Kankarbagh Main Road. We are sitting right beside the Singh Petrol Pump, which is very convenient for the delivery drivers when they need to fuel up. Kankarbagh is a busy part of town, and there is always noise from the traffic and the people passing by. Our day usually starts around eight when the first trucks arrive. We spend a lot of time moving heavy bags around and checking that nothing has been damaged during transport. The office is just a small corner where we keep the books and handle the money. It’s not fancy at all, just functional. Being next to the petrol pump means we get quite a bit of dust and exhaust fumes, but that is the trade-off for being in such a central location. Most of our customers are local builders who have been coming to us for years. We don’t do much in the way of sales talk; people know what they want and they come here to get it. It’s a straightforward business. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rains in the monsoon as best as we can. It’s just a regular cement depot in the middle of a busy city. We take things one day at a time and try to keep our regular customers happy.
