Our office is in Anand Tower on Exhibition Road. It is quite easy to find since we are right across from the ICICI Bank and close to the A.I.G. Office. We deal in different kinds of metal supplies. It is mostly wholesale stuff, so we spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and construction people. The office is not very big, just some desks, a few chairs for visitors, and stacks of catalogs and price lists. We have been in this building for many years now. The elevator in Anand Tower can be a bit temperamental, so sometimes we just take the stairs instead. It is a busy part of town, always people rushing around outside. We do not have a showroom with shiny displays because metal is not really like that. It is heavy, industrial stuff. We keep track of everything in big ledgers and on an old computer that has seen better days. My uncle started this agency and I took over later on. We have a few staff members who have been here since the beginning. We know the other business owners in the building pretty well. We usually go out for lunch at the same small place around the corner. We do not do any big advertising campaigns. People who need metal usually know where to find us. It is a steady business, nothing too fancy, just buying and selling and managing the deliveries.
