Our place is over in the Mahalaxmi Complex on Rajendra Path. If you know the area, we are pretty close to the C D A Building, which makes it easier for people to find us. Baba Strip & Tube Pvt. Ltd. is basically a small operation where we handle a lot of metal tubes and strips throughout the week. The complex can get quite crowded with people moving around, and parking is always a bit of a struggle near the entrance. Inside, we have rows of stock that we move around depending on what's needed. It gets a bit dusty with all the metal around, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We don't really have a big sign or a polished lobby. It’s mostly just us working through orders and talking to the regular transporters. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the back door when it pours hard, so we have to be careful about where we stack the thinner strips. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten at the main table. We’ve been in this part of town for a good while, so we know the other shop owners nearby. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just try to keep the inventory organized and make sure the count is right before anything leaves the complex.
