Ashoka Enterprises

Ashoka Enterprises is located in Mohini Market on Exhibition Road. We are right near the Rajkumar Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are coming from out of town. Exhibition Road is always buzzing with people, especially in the afternoons. Our shop in the market is where we spend most of our lives. It’s a mix of a store and a small warehouse space in the back. We sell various goods—it’s the kind of place where you might find a bit of everything depending on the season. The shelves are usually packed tight. We don't have a lot of floor space, so you have to watch your step. It’s a bit dark inside sometimes because the market buildings are so close together. We have a few people helping out, mostly family or long-time staff. We don't really do the whole "corporate" thing. No one wears a suit here. We’re usually in plain clothes, moving boxes or talking to customers over the counter. Dealing with the traffic on Exhibition Road is probably the hardest part of the day. But once you’re inside Mohini Market, it feels like its own little world. We’ve been here long enough to see shops come and go, but we’re still holding onto our corner. It’s just a regular business, trying to provide what people need.
