Singh Hair Dresser is on Pc Colony Road in Kankarbagh. We’ve been here for a while now. Patna can get really busy, especially during the wedding season, but our shop stays pretty steady. People from around the 800020 area know us. It is just a small place with a few chairs and mirrors. You can hear the sounds of the traffic from the road while you get a haircut. Sometimes it’s dusty outside, so we have to keep cleaning the glass. The shop is simple. We don’t have fancy machines, just good scissors and combs. Usually, the morning starts slow with a few old men coming in for a shave. By the afternoon, the younger guys start showing up. They always want to talk about cricket or what’s happening in Bihar politics. We have a small bench for people to wait on. It’s nothing special, but it gets the job done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the door for light. Kankarbagh is a big neighborhood, so there is always someone walking by who needs a trim. We keep some old magazines on the table, though most people just look at their phones now. It’s a decent life running a shop here. We know most of our customers by name. They don’t expect a spa, they just want to look tidy before they head home to their families.
