Maa Sheetla Beauty Parlour

Maa Sheetla Beauty Parlour is my small shop in Shivam Market, which is in the Mokama area of Patna. I started this place to help the ladies in our local neighborhood get their beauty work done without having to travel too far. We do all the basics like threading, waxing, and hair coloring. Shivam Market is a crowded place, so it’s always lively around here. The shop itself is quite cozy, maybe a bit too small when we have a lot of customers at once. I have a few stools for people to sit on while they wait. We use simple products that people around here trust. I don’t like charging too much because I know everyone’s budget is tight. Sometimes the power goes out in the market, so we keep some candles and a battery light handy just in case. I have a niece who helps me on the weekends when the rush is more. We talk about family and local events while I work on their hair or eyebrows. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We don’t have a big sign with lights, just a hand-painted board. It’s been a good few years since we opened and I’m happy with how things are going. It’s just a regular beauty parlour for the women of Mokama to feel a bit better about themselves.
