A K Mair Salon

We've been at Shop No-94 for a while now. People in Hanuman Nagar usually just walk in when they need a haircut or something. It's Kankarbagh, so it stays pretty busy around here near the Hasim Board area. We just keep the place open for whoever needs a trim. My chairs are usually full on weekends. Patna gets hot, so the fans stay on. I don't really have a big fancy sign, but everyone knows A K Mair Salon is right here. Sometimes the floor gets messy when it's crowded, but we sweep it up quick. It’s a simple setup. We don’t do anything too crazy, just standard cuts and maybe a shave if that’s what you’re looking for. Usually, it's the regulars who come by, but we see new faces too. The shop isn't that huge, but it works for us. We've seen kids grow up coming here. It feels like just yesterday I started at this spot in Hanuman Nagar. If you're walking past the Hasim Board, you'll see us. It’s just how things are here in Patna. We keep the mirrors clean and the scissors sharp. Nothing more to it, really. Just a local shop doing its thing every day. We open early most mornings because people like to get things done before work. It's a living and we are glad to be part of the Kankarbagh community. People stop by for a chat even when they don't need a cut. It's good here.
