Surindra Tools Industries

Being out here at E-20 in the Industrial Focal Point means we’re surrounded by other workshops and factories. You can hear the sounds of metal being worked on from all sides throughout the day. We focus on tools. Our shed is pretty large, but it’s mostly filled up with raw materials and the finished products waiting to go out to customers. The floor is concrete and has some cracks here and there, but it holds up well enough for the heavy stuff. We start early when the air is still a bit cool. Most of the guys live nearby and walk or cycle in for their shifts. We don’t really bother with a front office or anything fancy like that. You just walk through the main doors and you’re right there where the work happens. It’s dusty work, especially when we’re finishing the metal pieces. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because it gets very thirsty out here in the heat. There’s a lot of grease and oil around the machines. We try to keep things in order, but when a big order comes in, everything gets a bit messy for a few days. We don’t have a marketing team. People just know where we are and what we do. It’s just how things have always been at Surindra. We focus on the metal and making sure the tools are solid enough for the job.
