The farm is over here at Chand Mundia, right next to National Public School. We’ve been at this for a while now, just working the land and making jaggery like we always have. It gets busy during the season when the cane is ready. Most people know us by the smell of the boiling juice coming from the pans. We don't really do much fancy stuff here, just the basics. You can see the kids from the school walking by every afternoon while we are out there loading up the blocks. It’s hard work, standing over the heat all day, but it’s what we know. My family has been around this area for years. We just try to keep things simple and honest. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us much, but we manage to get through it. The shop is part of the farm setup so everything happens in one place. We don't have a big office or anything, just the sheds and the storage area. If you come by, you'll probably see us covered in dust or sticky from the sugar. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the machinery is running, but it’s home. We just keep our heads down and do the work day in and day out. It's nothing special to look at, just a regular farm doing regular work for the folks around here.
