We are Him Krishak Farmer Producer Company Limited. Our office is located at Laxmi Niwas in the village of Rauni. The post office nearby is Bharana. Rauni is one of those places where everyone knows each other’s business, so finding Laxmi Niwas isn't difficult once you get into the village. We called ourselves Him Krishak because we are farmers working in the cold mountain air. It’s not an easy life, but it’s what we know and what our fathers knew. The village is quiet, and we like it that way. We don't have a big corporate headquarters, just a room in the house where we keep the files and meet up once in a while. Most of our work happens out on the slopes, but this is where the planning is done. Bharana is where we go for any official mail or supplies we need. We started this because we wanted a way for the Rauni farmers to have a bit more say in how things are sold. It’s a simple operation run by people who have dirt under their fingernails and know the land. We don't use big words or have long, boring meetings. We just talk about the weather, the crops, and how to get things to the market on time. If you come to Village Rauni, just ask for the producer company at Laxmi Niwas.
