R M Pulses

Our facility is out in the MIDC area, situated near the Vardia Farm House. It is technically part of Karney Sarat Village. It is a bit of a drive to get out here from the main town, but we need the space for handling all the pulses. We deal with various types of lentils and grains every day. The smell inside the warehouse is something you really notice—it's very earthy and dry. It is a large, open space where we keep the bags stacked up toward the ceiling. We spend a lot of our time sorting through the stock and making sure everything is cleaned properly. It is not the most exciting work, but it is important for the people who buy from us. The village area is quite peaceful compared to the noise of the city, and we enjoy that aspect of being out here. We have a few guys from the local village who help us with the heavy lifting and operating the machinery. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the better part of a day fixing it, which can be quite a challenge. We do not have a website or any big advertisements. Most people just know we are here near the farm house by word of mouth. We sell to the local markets and to people who drive out here to buy in bulk for their own needs. It is a dusty job, but it is good, honest work.
