Ambica Food Mill

Ambica Food Mill is situated on the Mahesana Main Road, not too far from Kadiwala Chowk. It is a very busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside. Inside the mill, it is a different story. It is noisy and full of the smell of ground grains. We spend our days watching the stones turn and making sure the flour is coming out the way it should. It is a lot of heavy bags to move around, so we all stay pretty fit. We are not some big industrial corporation. We are just a local mill that has been here for years. The floor is always a bit white from the flour, no matter how much we sweep. People from the surrounding areas come to us because we are easy to find near the chowk. We do not really do any big marketing. We just let the machines do the talking. Sometimes the belt on a motor snaps and we have to stop everything to fix it. Those are the days when things get frustrating, but we always get back to work. Mahesana is a good place for a business like ours because the farmers are close by. We just try to be helpful and get the milling done as fast as we can. It is a straightforward life, and we like the routine of it. Every day is pretty much the same.
