H. N. Steel

H. N. Steel is located in Neamatpur, and we fall under the Kulti police station area in the West Burdwan district. We are not in a big city, so things are a bit slower here, which we actually like. Our business has been here for a long time and we are well-known by the locals in Neamatpur. We deal with various kinds of steel and metal. The shop is a simple place with a dirt yard where we keep the larger items. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We don't have a website or a sales team. We just wait for customers to come to us or call us on the phone. The work is very physical and we spend most of our time moving heavy pieces of metal around. It can get very hot during the summer months in West Burdwan, so the work becomes even more difficult then. We don't have any big corporate goals or mission statements. We just try to do an honest day’s work and provide what people are looking for. Most of the people who work here are from the nearby villages. We aren't looking to change anything or grow into a huge corporation. We just want to keep doing what we've been doing for years. It’s a simple, quiet life for us here in Neamatpur. We just take each day as it comes and handle the work as it arrives. Even when the power goes out, we find things to do.
