Our office is located in the Harsha Co-Operative Housing Society over in Comba. It’s Flat A/3 on the first floor. Working in Margao means we are right in the heart of the action, especially with all the shops and the school nearby. We handle Metlife India insurance stuff here. It’s not a huge setup, just a few rooms where we deal with policyholders and their paperwork. The building is one of those typical Margao structures, a bit older but sturdy. Most of the day is spent explaining things to people who come in confused about their life insurance or how to file a claim. We don't use much fancy talk, just plain English and sometimes Konkani to make sure everyone understands what’s going on. The traffic outside in Comba can be a nightmare during school hours, so we usually plan our meetings around that. We’ve got a small team and we’ve all been together for years. We know who likes their tea with extra sugar and who prefers it black. It’s a quiet place most of the time, except when the monsoon rain hits the roof really hard. We just keep things moving, filing papers and answering emails. We aren't trying to be anything big, just a local spot where people can get their insurance questions answered without too much hassle. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till five.
