Icici Prudential

We are based in the Taligao side of Panaji. It’s a busy spot especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work. Our office handles insurance stuff for Icici Prudential. We don't have a giant glass building, just a regular space where we sit and go through stacks of forms. People come in asking about their premiums or how to change a nominee, and we just help them get it sorted. Panaji can get quite hot in the afternoon so the fan is always on high. Most of us have been working here a long time and we know the regulars who drop by. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away on those old keyboards that make a lot of noise. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s steady. Sometimes the printer jams right when we have a line of people, which is annoying. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about the traffic or what’s happening in the village. Taligao has changed a lot lately with all the new buildings, but our routine stays mostly the same. We just keep track of the files and make sure the paperwork moves to the next stage. It’s basically just us helping people navigate their policies without making it too complicated. We try to keep things simple and get the job done so everyone can go home on time.
