We are located out in Nanoda, specifically in the Kanolwada area near Assonora. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, away from the main coastal towns of Goa. Diebold India does a lot of work with ATMs and banking technology, and this is one of our spots. The office is at house number 100. It’s a different vibe working here compared to the city because it’s much greener and quieter. We have technicians coming in and out all day, grabbing tools or heading out to fix a machine somewhere in the north. It’s a lot of technical talk about parts and software, but we try to keep it down to earth. The building is simple, nothing like the big glass offices you see in Mumbai. We deal with a lot of dust because of the roads nearby, so we are always cleaning the equipment. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to rely on the backup, which is just part of living in the Latambarcem area. We usually bring our own lunch because there aren't many places to eat right nearby. It’s a steady job and we take pride in keeping the machines running so people can get their cash. We aren't a huge crowd, just a bunch of guys who know our way around a circuit board. It’s a practical life, working hard and then heading home through the winding backroads.
