Mittal Exports

Our office and storage are located behind Agro Mall in the shed area, near Delhi Tyre on G.T. Road. It’s a massive area with a lot of movement, and being behind the mall means we are a bit out of the main wind, though the noise from G.T. Road is always there in the background. We use the shed space to keep things organized before they get sent off. It’s a bit chilly in the winter and quite hot in the summer, but that’s just part of working in a space like this. We handle a lot of different export goods, so the inventory is always changing. One day the shed is full of one thing, and the next day it’s something completely different. We spend a lot of time checking the weather and the road reports because that’s what dictates our schedule. If the highway is blocked, everything slows down. We’ve got a small corner set up with a desk and some chairs where we handle all the administrative stuff. It’s pretty dusty because of the trucks coming in and out, so we don't bother with fancy furniture. We’ve been working out of this spot for years and we know the other business owners in the shed area pretty well. We don’t have any big corporate goals; we just want to do a solid job and make sure our shipments arrive in one piece. It’s hard work, but we like the pace of it.
