S. G. N. Overseas

Our office is tucked away at 13 Nehru Nagar, right near Pahuja Hospital. If you’re looking for us, we are just behind the Sky Lark Hotel, which is a pretty good landmark for anyone who gets lost in this part of town. It’s a busy little area. You can hear the traffic from the main road, but inside S. G. N. Overseas, it stays mostly quiet so we can focus. There are about five of us here on a regular day, sitting at our desks and going through the overseas paperwork. It is a lot of back and forth with emails and phone calls. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we manage. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights out front. It’s just a regular door that leads into our workspace. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the afternoon slump hits. The hospital nearby means there are always people moving around outside, which makes the neighborhood feel alive. We do a lot of tracking and coordinating for the stuff we send out. It’s a lot of logistics, making sure everything is where it needs to be at the right time. Most of our day is spent looking at spreadsheets and talking to drivers. It’s not the most exciting work to talk about, but it’s what we do here in Nehru Nagar every day of the week.
