J. C. Impex

We are at No. 265 in Ram Nagar, over in Tehsil Town. It’s a local neighborhood, and everyone kind of knows everyone else here. J. C. Impex has been part of this street for quite a while. Our office is a simple room with a few chairs and a big table where we spread out all the shipping documents. It’s nothing fancy, just a place to get work done. We deal with various items coming in and out. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors until it comes back on. It’s a slower pace than the big cities, but we like it that way. We do a lot of the work by hand, checking things off lists. It’s more reliable that way sometimes. The building is an older one, so it has some character. We’ve got a lot of old ledgers sitting on the shelves that we don't use anymore. They just sit there. People in Tehsil Town know where to find us if they need something moved. We don't spend money on fancy signs or websites. Word of mouth works just fine around here. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We just take it one shipment at a time. Sometimes the dust gets on everything, but we just wipe it off and keep going.
