Deva Salon

We run Deva Salon in the Mangalvedha area of Solapur. Our shop is located near the Mahila Hospital, which is a major landmark here. It is just a small, basic shop where we do haircuts and shaves. We have a few chairs and some mirrors on the walls. The floor usually has hair on it because we stay quite busy during the day. We don't have air conditioning or any fancy lighting, just a couple of fans to keep the place cool. My brother and I have been working here for a long time. We have been cutting hair in this town for many years now. We know most of the people who come into the shop. They are our friends and neighbors from the local area. Sometimes the shop is crowded with people just sitting and talking about what's going on in town while they wait. We don't do any of those trendy styles you see in magazines, just clean and simple cuts. The tools we use are basic but we take care of them. It’s a humble place. We don't have a lot of room, so it gets a bit cramped when there are more than three people waiting. No one seems to mind much. We open the doors early in the morning so workers can get a shave before starting their shift. It’s a simple business and a simple life. We just try to do our work well and keep our prices fair for everyone.
