Abhinav Hair Cutting

I run Abhinav Hair Cutting in Malsiras Sholapur right across from the S T Stand. Being opposite the bus stand means there is always a lot of dust and noise but it also means there are always people around. Many travelers who are waiting for their bus pop in for a quick shave or a haircut to pass the time. It is a very basic shop with just the essential stuff like scissors, combs, and a couple of old-fashioned barber chairs. I grew up in Solapur and decided to stay here and work. The shop isn't very big so it can get a bit cramped when several people come in at once with their luggage. I don't have any assistants right now so I do everything myself from sweeping the floor to cutting the hair. Some days are very long and my back hurts by the end of it but that is part of the job. I don't use any expensive products just the regular creams and soaps you find in any local market. Most of my regulars are the bus drivers and conductors who work at the stand. They usually have a lot of stories to tell while they sit in the chair. I try to keep the place as tidy as I can despite the wind blowing in from the road. It is just a simple way to make a living and I have been doing it for years.
