About The Sun Art India – Housewares & Supplies in Pali
Operating out of Roopam Market at shop number 10 is quite an experience because of the Old Bus Stand nearby. There is a constant sound of engines idling and horns honking throughout the day. The Sun Art India isn't a very large place, but we make the most of the space we have. The shelves are mostly full of things we've collected over time. It gets a bit dusty because of the road being so close, so we try to wipe things down when we have a spare minute. Most of our day is spent talking to people who wander in while they are waiting for their bus to arrive. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving during the hotter months. The floor is made of old tile that has a few cracks in the corners. It doesn't bother anyone. We keep a ledger on the main counter to track everything. It's an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings over a couple of glasses and we sit for a few minutes. It is a simple routine that hasn't changed much in years. We don't have any big plans to move or change things up. We are just happy to be here at the market every day doing our thing.
