Shree Balaji Hardware

Started early today. The shop on Water Works Road gets a lot of dust from the street. We deal with regular hardware items like nails, hammers, and pipes. It is a small place but packed. People from around Sojat City come by when their plumbing acts up or they need a specific wrench. Sometimes it takes a minute to find things because the shelves are high. My father started this a long time ago. We just keep the inventory moving. It is hot today, so the fan is running constantly. You see a lot of faces coming in and out. Mostly regulars. We don't have fancy displays or anything. Just bins of screws and stacks of metal. If someone needs a bucket or a length of rope, we pull it out. The traffic on this road can get a bit loud in the afternoons. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when it is quiet. It is just a normal hardware shop. Nothing too complicated about it. We keep track of everything in a big ledger. Most days are the same, just helping people get what they need for their houses or their work. The paint section is in the back, though it is mostly just basic colors. We try to keep the door open for a breeze. That is pretty much how it goes here every day from morning until we close up late.
