Ramesh Hardware Store is tucked right inside the Surajpole Sirvi Super Market. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their supplies for the day's work. We’ve got shelves stacked high with all sorts of bits and pieces, from nails to tools and everything else you might expect in a hardware shop. Sometimes it’s hard to find things quickly because we have so much packed in, but we usually know exactly where everything is hiding. My family has been running things here, and we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It isn’t some big, air-conditioned showroom; it’s a real shop where you can get your hands dirty looking for the right bolt. Surajpole is a lively area, and being in the Super Market means there’s always something happening outside. We don’t do much online or with fancy technology. We mostly just talk to people, hear what they’re building or fixing, and try to find the right part for them. Some days the shop is packed and it gets a bit loud, but we like it that way. It’s better than sitting around doing nothing. If you need something for a home repair or a bigger job, you just come find us in the market. We stay open late most days because people always forget that one last screw they need to finish a project. It is just the way we work.
