Rakesh Arora

I am based in Sheoganj, over in the Karan Nagar area. My name is Rakesh Arora and this is where I do my daily work. It is a local spot, nothing like the big offices you find in the metro cities. Sheoganj is the kind of place where everyone has a general idea of what their neighbor does for a living. I have been in Karan Nagar for quite a while now. My setup is pretty basic. I have a desk, a few chairs for when people come to visit, and my files. I do not believe in spending a lot on decorations or fancy furniture. As long as there is a place to sit and a light that works, I am good to go. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, which helps when I need to concentrate on my work. Sometimes the neighbors’ kids are playing in the street, and that provides some background noise. I do not use any big slogans or try to sell myself with fancy words. People know where to find me if they need something. I usually start my day with a cup of tea and a look at my to-do list. It is a very manual process, writing things down and checking them off as I go. There is no big corporate structure here, just me handling the business as it comes. It is a steady way to live and work, and it keeps me busy.
