Basti Mal Jain

We've been around Bali Azad Basti for a while now. Most people around here know Ashok Bhawan, it’s where Basti Mal Jain is located. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a regular spot where we get our work done every day. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading out. We’ve stayed in this same building because it works for us. It’s got a bit of history to it, I guess. You walk in and you see the usual stuff, desks and papers piled up. We don't really go for the modern look. It’s more about being practical. People stop by sometimes just to say hello or ask for directions in the Basti. We know the neighbors pretty well by now. It’s a busy area but that’s how we like it. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it hasn’t been a priority lately. We just focus on what needs to be finished by the end of the day. It’s quiet inside usually, unless the windows are open and you can hear the sounds from the street. Nothing too special to report, just us doing our thing at Ashok Bhawan like we always have. It stays cool inside even when it’s hot outside, which is a plus. We just keep things moving along without much fuss or noise. That's pretty much how it goes here.
