Arjun Parihar

I am Arjun Parihar and I am located in Sojat City at Kakaria Bera. If you know Sojat, you know it’s famous for its henna, but my life here is just about the daily work. Kakaria Bera is my base. It’s a local spot where things are pretty quiet. I don’t have a big office building. It’s just a place where I sit and do what needs to be done. The surroundings are very familiar to me. I see the same faces every day. My setup at Kakaria Bera is very basic. I have my table, my chair, and my notebooks. I don’t use a lot of fancy technology. People come by to see Arjun Parihar when they need something, and I’m usually right here. The weather in Sojat City can get very hot, so I spend a lot of time under the fan. It’s a small-town life, and I like that. You don't have the rush of the big cities. Everything is within walking distance. I’ve lived in this area for a long time. My neighbors are my friends. We talk about the weather or the local news while we work. It’s an honest way to spend the day. I don’t have any big plans to change things. I’m just here at Kakaria Bera, doing my bit and keeping things moving. I have a small radio that I listen to in the evenings. It keeps me company. Sojat City is a place where people value hard work and I try to live up to that. I don’t have a website or any of that stuff. People just know where to find Arjun Parihar. My office is part of my life, not something separate. I have an old wooden cupboard where I keep all my important things. It’s got a bit of a wobble to it, but it hasn’t let me down yet. Sometimes the electricity goes out and I just sit in the dark for a while, thinking. It’s a peaceful way to live. I don’t need much to be happy. Just my work and a quiet place to do it. Kakaria Bera is that place for me. I see the sunrise and the sunset from the same spot almost every day. It’s a good rhythm to have.
