Rajendra Singh Ashiya

Living and working in Sojat City is something else. My name is Rajendra Singh Ashiya and you can find me over in the Nav Choukiya area. It’s one of those parts of town where everybody seems to know a bit about what everyone else is doing. The streets are narrow and can get pretty crowded, especially during the festival seasons. I’ve been at this spot for a good while. Nav Choukiya has its own rhythm. Usually, the morning starts with the sound of motorcycles and people heading out for tea. I sit here and watch the day go by while I get through my tasks. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a practical one. The building is old but it stays cool enough in the summer if you keep the fans going. I don't go in for all those modern business trends you see in the bigger cities. Around here, things move at a different pace. You talk to your neighbors and you handle your business face to face. It’s how things have always been done in Sojat City. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside but that’s just part of being here. I try to keep things organized as best as I can. If someone stops by, they’ll usually find me at my desk or nearby. I've spent many years in this neighborhood and I don't see myself going anywhere else soon. There is always a lot to do.
