Maruti Furniture

We are located right on College Road, very close to Surana Hospital. Our shop is at number 2. If you are walking down the street, you will probably see Maruti Furniture because of all the wood and finished pieces we have around. Being near a hospital means there is always people moving about, so it never really gets quiet here. We spend our days working with different types of furniture, mostly chairs and tables and whatever else people need for their homes or small offices. There is often a bit of sawdust on the floor even though we try to sweep up regularly. It is just the nature of the work we do. We don't have a massive showroom with bright lights. Most of our things are just arranged so people can see the build and the wood. Sometimes we are out back working on a specific piece while someone waits at the front. The heat can get a bit much in the middle of the day, so we take breaks when we can. We have been at this location for a while and have seen the road change quite a bit over the years. People stop by to ask about repairs or if we can make something specific for a corner of their room. We try to give them a straight answer about how long it will take. It is a busy life but we enjoy the physical work of making things. It is nice to see it finished.
