Madan Lal Soni

We are located right near the Somnath Temple. It’s a very special place to be because of all the people who visit from far away. Madan Lal Soni has been here for years, and we’ve seen the seasons change many times. The work we do is mostly by hand, sitting in our small shop. You can hear the temple bells from where we work, which is a nice sound to have in the background. It’s a busy street, especially during festivals, and we get a lot of people stopping by just to look or ask questions. We don't have a big storefront with glass and lights. It’s more of a traditional setup. We work with our hands, using tools that have been around for a long time. It’s dusty and sometimes it gets hot, but we don't mind. We focus on the small details of whatever piece we’re working on. People trust us because they know where we are and they know we’ve been here a long time. We don't do any marketing or put up big signs. The temple is the landmark everyone uses. We just sit at our bench, do our work, and talk to whoever comes in. It’s a simple life and we like being part of the history here. We don't try to grow too big or move to a modern building. This is where we belong, right in the heart of the activity near the temple, doing our work.
