Kamal Shrimali

We are based in Bali, specifically in Nehru Colony near the Falna Station. Kamal Shrimali is the person you’ll see if you drop by. Being near the station means there’s always people moving around and the sound of the trains coming through. Nehru Colony is a small, tight-knit place. Everyone knows whose house is whose. Our workspace is part of a larger building that’s been here for decades. It’s got high ceilings and those old-style windows. We don't have air conditioning, just the big ceiling fans that hum all day. It’s a very basic setup. We have some wooden desks and a lot of registers where we write everything down. We aren't big on using computers for everything. There is something nice about doing things the old way. Most of the people we deal with are from the local area or travelers passing through the station. We’ve been here a long time and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't bother us. We focus on the work at hand. There’s no marketing department here. We just stay open during our regular hours and help whoever comes through the door. It’s a quiet, honest living in a small town. We like the pace of life here. It’s much better than the big cities.
